Rare first edition of this very early work on hypnotism, In very Good condition for its age. Binding is still tight despite cracks between inside covers and text. Pages are clean and without tears or marks. There does not appear to be any foxing or age toning on the pages.Cover edges have moderate shelf wear.

Assumed 1891 publishing date and first edition. No date in given on publishing page. However, inscription on second page of book (there are 10 un-numbered pages some with engravings, at the beginning of the book) is dated 1891. The inscriptions is from a women to her niece. The book was a Christmas present. The book contains eight stories for children by different authors. It includes 50 black and white and eight color illustrations. Except for some yellowiing at the edges of the pages with color engravings, the inscription on the second page and a large tear on the next to last end-paper, the pages are in excellent condition with only the slightest spotting on a few of the pages. The cover is in fair condition, with a large diagonal bend near the bottom of the front cover and wear markds and chipping at the edges. The seller will ship priority mail at no additonal cost.

Stated first trade edition. There is a small smudge (about 1/2 x 1/4") near top edged of first flylead page. Otherwise, unclipped dj and book are in new cndition.

First edition in overall good condition despite being ex library. cover has shelf wear at edged and corners and especially at top and bottom of spine. The American Library Dj, is quite worn with tears and frays but has managed not to fall apart. tHE flaps have been glued to the book so we cannot show photos of the cover; however, we could see that the title still shows clearly on the front cover and spine. Inside front cover and adjacent fly-leaf page are full of date stamps. First half dozen pages have smudging. Remaining pages have few faults. All pages are legible, large majority are clear and clean excepting light age toning. Rob Eden wrote over 30 novels in the 30's and 40's. This is a rare copy of this 1945 publication which reprints and revises the even more rare original Creole poetry book of 1845 called "Les Couelles ("Hollly Berries"). The book is in 'As New' condition. It includes a 40 page Forward/essay in English by Armand Lanusse and a 128 page section of these Creole poems in French. This is followed by a two page index of poems. This is a first edition of the revised publication.
