Michigan: The Radio League of the Little Flower, 1940. 164 pp. Printed wrappers, light soiling to exterior, a few tiny tears to spine, internally clean. Housed in 7-3/4" x 5-1/2" x 1/2" cloth slipcase. $100. * Coughlin was a radio broadcaster notorious for his anti-Semitism and later opposition to Roosevelt. In 1938, two weeks after Kristallnacht, he aired a particularly controversial and bigoted radio program dismissing the importance of attacks on Jews. This address led to widespread condemnation and, along with his constant attacks against Roosevelt, the forcing of Coughlin off the air. This tract, published two years later when Coughlin was still denied access to radio broadcasting, attempts to clear him of charges of anti-Semitism.
