Small size book: 4 1/2 inches wide, 6 5/8 inches high, and 1 2/8 inches thick. The spine board is missing and someone a long time ago put a piece of fabric tape across there to each front and back board. No writing and no markings. There is foxing. The board corners are bumped and well worn. Total pages are 420. See pictures for condition.

This is a reading book for students and has 21 biographies of prominent men and women with pictures of each.Some of the biographies are of Samuel Clemens, Thomas Edison, Herbert Hoover, Anna Shaw, George Westinghouse, etc. There is a gift inscription on the 1st free end page, "S Leon Weidner from Frank Green". I believe this Weidner man was born 12/25/1913 in Dickinson Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania and died 02/09/2003 at the age of 89 in Gardners, Pa. The cover and corners are worn. Slight damage to rear hinge but binding is in good shape. Book is small sized, 4 1/2 inch wide, 6 3/4 inch high, and 7/8 inch thick and has 325 pages.

This is Book 3, The Silver Book, Growing Up In Reading. Glue residue on front cover from a small sticker. Prior school book with school stamp on inside front cover and identification numbers on adjacent page. No other writing or marks. No creasing and binding is excellent. Bottom edge of front and back covers are slightly rubbed.

The Scientific Living Series, The How And Why Science Books. Prior school textbook. Stamp on inside of the front and back covers read: This Book is the Property of the State of Texas. There is a piece missing from the front lower cover corner about the size of a dime. All corners bumped and worn thru. Very little writing thru book. Total pages 128. Seems more like a reading book.

4th printing. College textbook. About a 1 inch rip to top of spine cover. Front and back covers have some damage from plastic laying on them causing a reaction. Front hinge is a little loose. There is highlighting, underlining and writing thru book. Size is 8 1/2 inches wide, 11 1/4 inches high and 1 1/2 inches thick.

There are 50,000 numbered copies of this first edition of A Southern Album of which this is copy number 1422. It is signed by the author, Irwin Glusker. See picture of the bookplate indicating this information. The dust jacket has slight scratching on rear and slight wrinkling at top of spine. Size is 12 1/8 inches square and 1 inch thick.

Front hinge is completely loose and rear hinge is coming loose, the half title page is separated but included, and there is some closed tears on the pages. There is sticker damage on the front cover. Stain on page next to rear pastedown. Rear cover reads: This is one of the Volland "Happy Children Books". No edition number is indicated and so I believe it to be a first edition. Stories in this book are largely about special days such as new years, Lincoln and Washington's birthday, St. Patrick's, Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Easter, and Mother's day.

Includes the May-June 1994(Vol. 60. No. 2) and the July-August 1994(Vol. 60. No. 3) Daily Devotional Guide. No writing and no marks. Corners slightly worn and a little page creasing.

Dedication page indicates that this book was dedicated to the winners of the first two National Geography Bees who are Jack Staddon of Great Bend, Kansas for 1989 and Susannah Batko-Yovino of Altoona, Pa. for 1990

Bumped upper spine end on book and dust jacket. Remainder mark which is a small dot made with a marker to bottom of page edges near spine. At the time of the printing of this book, the author was the oldest competitive white-water kayaker in the United States.
