Every letter in the alphabet is represented in Bunny's journey, through what he eats (Greens), to whom he meets (Insects, Jay, Kitten, Lizard), and then a little sleep (Nap), to Tripping back to town, right side Up and Up-side-down. Wanda Gag's charming Newbery Honor alphabet book is a wonderful addition to any collection and features the music to sing along on the endpapers.

First edition. This classic, early Golden Book was wildly successful when it was first published in 1950, even inspiring a spin-off titled Nurse Nancy two-years later. First edition copies that still retain all of the promotional Johnson & Johnson band-aids are very rare.

Early printing, possible first edition, having no date or printing information. Sir Gruff is Petie's rough-coated dog, who enjoys nothing more than bringing treasures home to his small master. First edition. A wonderful, wordless version of the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood featuring lush watercolor illustrations by John S. Goodall. Using his trademark alternating full and half pages that flip to change the illustrations and advance the story, Goodall masterfully captures the humor, tension, action, and joyous ending of the story without using a single word.

First Arthur Rackham-illustrated edition, limited issue, being one of 2020 copies signed and numbered by book designer, Bruce Rogers. Though Rackham had planned to sign the edition, he passed away before he was able to do so and the book was issued posthumously. Spine ends a bit rubbed, else a fine copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (a couple of very small chips, some light edge wear). Signed by the author, Hardie Gramatky, with a drawing of Homer and a Giraffe on train tracks.
First edition. A wonderful picture book from the author of Little Toot. Homer is a train caboose and one of the best in the business. He has a coat of red paint, and a gleam in his eye, and he carries himself with pride. The only trouble is that Homer's job as end man on the train causes him to ride backwards. But when the coupling that links the train to the engine breaks while they're ascending a steep mountain, Homer finds himself in front as the train races back down the mountain. Can Homer save the day?

Kate Greenaway's Almanacks were issued every year from 1883 until 1897 with the exception of 1896, and each contains calendars, lists of holidays, and astronomical information, all wonderfully highlighted by Greenaway's intricately delicate color illustrations. This wonderfully inscribed copy features a charmingly intricate hand-painted watercolor drawing from the artist herself!

An illustrated calendar, each page featuring an illustration by celebrated illustrator Kate Greenaway for each of the months of the year and listing all of the important holidays and birthdays occurring on each day of the year in 1884. Kate Greenaway's illustrations were extremely influential in the late 19th century, influencing children's fashion trends of the time period. This charming book features wonderful examples of Greenaway's artwork showing vintage children's fashion. A delightful example of some of Greenaway's most influential work.

Sendak's creative genius is further on display in the framing narrative he creates for the book which tells of two small children who are recruited to act in a play of the story and who end up performing the main roles in the King Grisly-Beard tale.
