July 1969. A fine portrait by Cecil Beaton of the 20 year old Prince taken in the same month as his investiture. In the fine large presentation frame by Jarrolds of Knightsbridge, in green morocco with gilt Prince of Wales Feathers at the head. The photograph itself 8 x 6 inches, the frame 15 x 10 1/2 inches. The signature and date are faded although remain distinct. Beaton's stamp to the reverse. A rare image.

Printed card, 7 x 5 inches, embossed Royal Arms in gilt at head. Some marking and browning. Unused.

Two copies of the list of officials attending. 18-pages, 8vo, original wrappers, ribbon tied; one ribbon broken. Together with a list of ceremonials to be observed, 3-pages folio and a few other pieces.

An autograph correspondence card signed to the Rev. A.V. Lyttelton 'I have never heard of the book. I do not think it is by my grand-father. From the title I guess that it may be only a published sermon, perhaps by my great-uncle Whittaker Churton'. St.Pauls, n.d. Inscribed on the address panel in another hand 'Dean (Inge) of S.Pauls'.

St. Paul's, 31st July, n.y. 1-page 8vo with conjugate blank; ink mark at head of blank margin, some light foxing. To "Dear Sir" - "The Dean and Chapter of St. Paul's accept gratefully the engraving of Bishop Heber bequethed by the late Mr. Sturge".

The first, 11-lines, in Latin, from the preface to Thomas Dempster's 'Historia ecclesiastica gentis Scotorum' (which Irving edited 1828 & 1829), the second, 10-lines, from his 'Introduction to the Study of the Civil Law' (1837). 1-page 8vo, mounted to a leaf from a Victorian album.

By Edward Fox at the Shakespeare Quiney Press, Stratford-upon-Avon, 1900. One of "Seventy five copies only printed on Japanese vellum of which this is No. 59". Signed by the Editors and Printer. 8vo (8 3/4 x 6 inches), 244-pages, original full vellum lettered in red and black. Binding very spotted, internally very good.

Tauchnitz, Leipzig, 1850. 8vo ( 6 1/8 x 4 1/4 inches), 302-pages. Contemporary half grained calf gilt lettered direct, marbled boards, hinges rubbed. Upper fore corner of title cut away without loss of text, messy ink marks to prelims & contemporary date.
