New York and Toronto: Longmans, Green and Co., 1938. First edition. Nina Day, at Princeton with a boy she finds boring, meets a campus poet. She marries the boor in order to support herself, her grandfather and the poet, and off they go to Europe. The poet joins the Communist Party. When Gramps dies she returns home and the poet finds happiness with a gay artist. Interesting book for the 1930's. Near fine in a yellow wrap-around dust jacket with chipping on corners, head of spine and a larger one (I/2 inch high by 4 inches long) at top of back panel.
