Germantown, PA: Christoph Sauer, 1764. No Binding. Poor. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. See photos for condition details. This original binding is missing both boards and at least half of the spine. The first end page has a hand drawn color calligraphic title along with additional handwriting which is difficult to read. This edition was first published in 1744 by Christopher Sauer (Senior),and then this edition was printed by his son: Christopher Sauer II, and contained 575 hymns, of which 28 were added to the original. In 1743, Sauer (Senior) published the first German-language Bible to be printed in North America (the first in any European language). The main book of 570 pages are darkened due to age but are, for the most part, in good condition. The damaged portions as seen in the images is the index in the back of "Melodien Register", where the pages are mostly there but are folded up and torn in the lower outside corner. Prati: Officina Libraria Giachetti, Filii et Soc., 1897. 3rd Edition . Hardcover. Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original fancy full leather binding with banded spine. Exterior shows edge and corner scuffs/wear in the leather shows soiling and scuffing as well. There is a small hole near the lower left corner of the front board. The internal binding of the text pages is good but the front hinge is cracked and the board has some wiggle to it. The rear board also shows pulling but is more secure. Beautifully marbled end pages in front and rear. Please note: this is an ex library copy and is stamped from numerous locations. Two stamps are on the second front and page, two stamps are on the title page, and there is a card pocket on the front pastedown. Bound in pale green wraps. Exterior shows toning due to age along with minor edge and corner bumps. Front cover has a small stain at the lower right corner and rear shows a stained the bottom along with chipping to top and bottom corners. The exterior spine shows wrinkles and bubbles from original binding, there is a small tear about 3 inches down from the top and runs horizontal. Internal binding is tight and pages are clean as it appears this book was never used. Uncommon to find in original publication wraps much less unmarked and unstamped. The exterior shows quite a bit of toning/sunning, particularly along the edges. This has caused the paper in this location to become brittle so there is numerous chips present. Spine also shows quite a bit of chipping. The interior text pages are good and binding is tight. There is no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no name stamps, no handwriting found. Uncommon to find in original publication wraps much less unmarked and unstamped. Hardcover, full leather binding with banded spine and tooled leather on front and rear. Condition is untreated and leather is darkened and spotted as well as scuffed, leather on hinges are worn and show loss to the finish. Internal binding of the text pages is tight but there is some pulling at the front and rear boards. Front and rear pastedowns and pages are marbled with pastedowns ornately decorated in gilt along edges, all exterior page edges also gilt. Each page is framed with a red design and all exterior page edges are gilt. Copyright page states "Author's Household Edition". Exterior shows light soiling with numerous edge and corner bumps. Front board has a ding along the top edge as well. Internal binding is good, other than a bit of pulling at the table of contents page. Pages are toned due to age and some minor spotting and scattered foxing is present. Front and page contains the bookplate from John Watson Morrell along with his coat of arms and front and page contains his signature along with the 1902 date. First edition thus with a single date of March, 1902 appearing on the copyright page.

Label is chipped along corners and exterior cloth shows bumping and scuffs to surface and edges. Decorated end pages and front and rear contain no signatures or bookplates. Front hinge is starting to crack and there are a few sections where webbing can be seen where the hinge is starting to pull. Pages are toned due to age and foxing is present throughout. Profusely illustrated with photographs, drawings and color plates. Top edge gilt and title page states 10th edition.

No signatures or bookplates found, no library markings present. Pages are toned due to age and some spotting and foxing is noted. Contains numerous color and black-and-white illustrations and photographs.

Book exterior shows light spotting and small tears. Interior clean and handwriting free. No remainder marks or handwriting in book, though there is a mark on top of book edge but appears to be a scuff and not a remainder mark. Our original store price was penciled inside front cover but has since been erased. Light exterior soiling noted.

Ex-library with markings consisting of a small bookplate on front pastedown that states: " Ex Bibliotheca - Congregationis SS. Redemptoris Neo-Aureliae" and stamp on title page which shows the book belonged to The Redemptorist Library, St. Alphonsus Church, New Orleans. No other markings or handwriting found. Good binding copy. Exterior is missing spine and much of the original buckram. Interior pages show quite a bit of foxing but interior binding is good with no torn or loose pages noted.

Hardcover, original marbled paper covered boards half bound in leather. Exterior is in rough shape with sections missing on spine and both boards are hanging on just by the binder string. Despite the rough exterior the interior binding is good (except at boards) and text pages are secure. Pages are tone due to age and scattered foxing and spotting is present. Numerous pages were folded in half to mark them, these have been straightened out but the creases are still present. Some penciling is present on the text pages though not a lot. The markings generally are just to highlight a paragraph in the gutter and the majority is in pencil though at least one small section was in pen. Harrisburg, PA: Lane S. Hart, State Printer, 1878. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, brown cloth boards with gilt text on spine. Book is in very poor shape but is still in one piece. Exterior is heavily worn along the edges with cloth peeling and under board exposed. Lower outside corner of textblock has been nibbled on by critters. The damage is well outside of any text so book is very readable. Hinges at both boards are cracked the front board hinge being the worst looking. First two end pages also has damage along the bottom edge. Binding of the text pages themselves is overall good it's just that the hinges the boards are pretty ugly. Pages are tone due to age smudge marks and scattered foxing is present. Blue cloth boards underneath are fairly clean though spine is extremely spotted by the color is gone from the cloth. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are tone due to age and some foxing is present domain the limited to the end pages. Inscribed and signed by the author on the backside of the frontispiece: "To David M. Key with author's complements and best wishes. Tom Ireland 408-9 Bulkley Building, Cleveland, Ohio". Copyright page states second impression, July 1935.

No signatures or bookplates noted though rear pastedown has small blue pencil scribble about 2 inches tall (see photo). First edition thus. Pages are clean and corners are square. Nice looking copy in near fine condition - if the mark was not on the rear pastedown page this book would be graded as fine. See photos.

Akron, OH: Saalfield Publishing Company, 1911. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with original dust jacket. DJ shows scuffing and toning along with numerous chips and tears along the edges. Gray cloth boards underneath or clean with only very minor spotting present. The internal binding is tight like the book was never read, although the hinge at the front board is starting to crack near the center. Rear hinge is okay. Pages are quite darkened due to the poor quality of paper used by the publisher. The book overall condition would normally grade as near fine, especially with the attractive boards, but the condition was lowered because of the hinge cracking started at the front board.

Hardcover, green cloth boards ornately decorated on front. Exterior shows some light scuffing and spotting along with edge and corner bumps/light wear. Some of the gilt on the spine in front is also darkened. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No hinge issues, no bookplates, nothing torn or loose, no library markings. The second end page shows very faint residue of something that was once penciled there and then later erased. It is so faint you have to hold it under a bright light to see it, although it still needs to be pointed out. An attractive copy, bordering on near fine condition, although regraded as VG+ because of the minor wearing to the exterior.

Pages are toned due to age and some foxing is present, with the worst being on the end pages as they are quite toned. No binding issues, no torn or loose pages.
