London: Printed for H. Curll ..., 1727.. [8],32pp. plus engraved frontis. Octavo. Extracted from nonce pamphlet volume. Frontis reattached along gutter, long tear along top of title-leaf repaired on verso early on (crossing 'of the Smock' without loss), externally a bit dusty, but a good copy. Second edition of the poet and legal writer's bawdy parody of Pope, arising from the literary feud that began when Jacob attacked a work to which Pope had contributed: THREE HOURS AFTER MARRIAGE (1717), written by John Gay but with anonymous assistance from John Arbuthnot and Alexander Pope.
