A thick volume with over 700 pages, the red cloth is considered the second issue, but it's possible that this is a contributor's copy as it belonged to the poet Weldon Kees and is SIGNED by him on the front endpaper and dated Denver 1942. Kees has four poems in the book which predates his first book, THE LAST MAN (1943). Other contributors include John Berryman, Ezra Pound, Delmore Schwartz, etc.
