Vasily Kamensky was a Russian Futurist poet, playwright, and artist as well as one of the first Russian aviators. He only decided to dedicate his life to poetry after a near fatal plane crash in Poland in 1912. David Burliuk managed to persuade him to return to literature and join Burliuk and Mayakovsky on their Futurist Tour of Russia. MoMA 989.

Illustrated treatise on the rearing of silkworms and the manufacturing of silk. 'Kane, on board the Advance, was commander of this expedition, which was financed by Grinnell. Franklin was not found; however, much data concerning the Eskimo, geography, and scientific information was gathered. Kane, passing up Smith Sound at the head of Baffin Bay, advanced into the enclosed sea which now bears the name of Kane Basin, thus establishing the Polar route of many future Arctic expeditions' (Hill). A rare and very attractive small Japanese publication recording European voyages to Japan prior to the arrival of Commodore Perry in 1854 in its original fukurotoji binding. The two fine hand-coloured woodcuts show a Dutch vessel in Nagasaki Bay (double-page), and a Russian naval officer (single page).

Seventeen German broadsheet proclamations issued between 1712 and 1734, most issued in the province of Mecklenburg under the jurisdiction of Karl Leopold, Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1678-1747). Topics include the billeting of military personnel, regulations for the readmission of army deserters, controlling the spread of sheep disease, forestry regulations, postal services, harvest failure, and list of tolls for the ferry at Travemunde.
