Paris: P. Amic l'Ainé, 1845. Near Fine. 1 leaf 26 x 16 cm. with engraving of Maximilien de Robespierre (1758-1794) by Florensa after a drawing by Lacauchie. Printed by Rigo Freres et Cie. No date of publication. The publisher Pierre Amic l'Ainé and the printer produced prints in the 1840s. Robespierre is standing, holding a bunch of flowers in his right hand and looking to his left. In Near Fine Condition: margin is lightly soiled; otherwise, clean and bright.

New York: New York World, 1897. Good -. 1 color comic strip panel on card stock with a faux wood-grain on the reverse (23 x 40 cm.). A Sunday comic strip by Frank Ladendorf (1860-1943) about the humorous goings on in fictional Posey County ran in the New York World newspaper from 1 Aug. 1897 to 15 March 1898. This cartoon was the first one, appearing on 1 Aug. 1897 and captioned "An Important Prize Fight Up at the Posey County Athletic Club." The artist's name appeared in the lower right-hand corner, which is lacking here. No other text is lacking. Ladendorf was an important contributor to the development of American newspaper comic strips in the late 19th century. This is not removed from a newspaper; it appears to have been printed on card stock to have been issued as an individual item. In Good Condition: the card stock has darkened and is brittle; chipping along edges; lacking lower right-hand corner and lesser amount at other corners; 1 vertical crack through the center; several lesser cracks.

The print is a black-and-white image of the painting A Woman of Theres by Charles Landelle (1812-1908). No date of publication. The series The Masterpieces of French Art was issued in the United States beginning in 1882. Portfolios containing several photogravure prints and several wood engravings were published on a monthly basis. Gravure Goupil et Cie became Boussod, Valadon & Cie in 1884. Lacking the lower right-hand corner, where the signature of John Gilmore would have been. #2: On 2 April 1860 John Landis and Charlotte, his wife, of Delaware Township, Juniata County, sold to Nathaniel Williams of the same place for $246 a house and 17-acre lot in Delaware Township. Signed by John Landis, and witnesses Justice of the Peace Henry Cross and John M. Landis. Charlotte Landis was illiterate and signed with her mark. This is a printed form for Chester County, which was altered for use by Juniata County.
