The Heritage Press, 1939 Book is clean and tight with a bit of soiling to a few pages. Top-stained. Owner's signature on front endpaper (looks like an autograph but I don't recognize the person). DJ has a piece missing from the back and closed tears. Some edgewear. Beautifully illustrated. No slipcase.

Beginner Books/Random House, 1965 By Theo. LeSieg (Geisel backwards, Dr. Seuss's pseudonym). Illustrated by B.Tobey. First edition/first state with correct blurbs on dj and 195/195 price. DJ has small closed tear to front bottom, some edgewear and some toning on front cover close to edge. Book has rubbing to top and bottom and corners, a small smudge on first white page and some ink stain to corner of back board. Inside pages are bright and clean. A very nice copy of this hard to find edition.
