Book is Very Good+, Wrapper is Good+. Binding somewhat tight. 11+ written on front end page. Book published in 1974. No other writing or notes. Wear to wrapped at edges and spine with several small chips, see photos. A few light soil spots on cover.

Hardcover has major foxing or spots. 101 pages which were done on a substandard typewriter and didn't always copy well. Melancholy poetry which appears to be a search for God. I felt the need to bring this effort to the attention of the public. Ships with delivery confirmation.

Depression era poetry which is typed with linoleum wood cuts.

Book is split along the spine with browned pages that are chipping. Begins with a young girl's first letter to Santa in 1928. (She wants a car and a doll). Includes drawings and childhood remembrances including a trip to Brooklyn, NY with her mother where they get a perm. It appears that her family moved from Kansas City to Chicago in 1937 where she was very involved in the Hyde Park Y. Her two red cross swimming pins are attached from 1930 and 1931 when she became à swimmer at age six. She participated in plays at the Y and eventually became the president of a club there. Her mother participated in a minstrel show with the PTA in MO in 1929, programs attached. Myrtle attended the School of Radio Theater. There is a postcard from the Hotel Mayfair in St. Louis. A depression era home baking course by the General Foods Cooking School of the air host Francis Lee Barton. Softcover book has stains on the wrapper and wear to edges and corners. Most pages yellowed from age with some stains. The first two pages have creases at the top and bottom corners. Pages are intact - ring bound. Appears complete, no page numbers or free end papers.

Book is in Good- condition. There are a lot of condition issues but the main portion of the book is clean albeit there is one dog eared page. The boards are soiled and the spine is very cocked. The back board is tore at the bottom by the spine. There are some water stains near the front. The previous owner's confession in written inside the front board, "Stolen by with signature". Cracked hinges. This a scarce book from 1941 with a lot of different card tricks. (Two more pages in content I was not able to upload a photo of).

Inscribed by Author - Name signed with arrow pointed upward to "Full Speed Ahead" on front end paper. Previous owner dated it 9-5-96 and made a black marker spot. Book & Dj. in Fine condition.

Very worn corners & edges of spine. No Dj, illustrated HC has 2 D's and several line marks in pencil. Orange color has worn off in spots from movement. A well read book. Fairview School Dist. of Halsey in ink on front end page. Boy's name in pencil inside cover. Ink spots, soil, and a stains inside covers and on end pages. Several words are underlined inside.

To my good friend and loyal supporter (see photo) with Best Wishes George H. Ryan Sr. Inscribed on backside of front sandpaper, the capital building is on the front. Authentic book issued by the Illinois Secretary of State in Very Good or better condition. Spine edges bumped, bottom by page turning corner soiled or dusty. Has a slight smell from storage .

Stated First Printing 1977. Name stamped inside book, inside like new, a couple spots on exterior pages. Dj Good - Edgewear & spinewear & some black worn off main portion as well. Water stain on Dj. flap.

The first edition with errata slip glued in on the spine side only. Contains casualties and losses for both the Union and Confederate Armies. There is a statistical table for each battle fought during the civil war. Spine is split at the front with ffep laid in. Also split at the back. Book is complete. No dust jacket. Some soiling to boards. Some smudges inside of the book. Wear to spine edges and corners. Please see detailed photos. A scarce first edition as these were mainly sent to libraries. (NOT an ex-library). I ship all hardcover books in a box and provide tracking.
