Description:
First Edition, First Printing. Illustrated with original artwork by Cris Cristofaro. One of only 200 copies. Fine in original blue-black cloth with pictorial onlay on front cover. Bill Matthews, one of the most important contemporary poets, left behind a large archive containing numerous prose poems and short stories. However, Matthews included only one prose poem in any of the dozen or so books published during his lifetime. Here, we have a selection of the poet's lost prose pieces, presented here for the first time in book form, comprising eight short stories and fourteen prose poems. Provisions is a terrific read, and important for future scholars working on Matthews. Edited and introduced by Sebastian Matthews. Octavo. 79 pp. An absolutely love copy.

Description:
First Edition, First Printing. Fine in a near fine dust jacket. First state dust jacket with the cellophane on the front missing. McCullers' 2nd book, a southern melodrama. Fine in original two-toned decorated cloth and an almost fine first state dust jacket with the original $2.00 price on the front flap. This poorly conceived jacket has an acetate "window," a rectangle cut out on the upper panel that reveals the "Reflections in a Golden Eye" title on the cover of the book below. Almost every copy of this jacket is compromised by the sizing up or shrinking of the acetate over time causing tears and disintegration to the jacket and window. This copy is one of the best we've seen, with a short, closed tear at the upper front fold and top but is otherwise nearly flawless. The binding is tight, and the boards are solid with light wear to the edges. The pages are clean, with no writing, marks or bookplates in the book. Truly a superior copy.

First Edition, First Separate Printing. Reprinted from UCLA Law Review, volume 31, December 1983, Number 2. Inscribed by by the author. Blue card stock covers, black type. Darkening to bottom of front and rear cover, otherwise fine. The primary focus of the author's scholarship has long been the use -and misuse-of legal language, resulting in his books, The Language of the Law, and, Legal Writing-Sense and Nonsense. Mellinkoff's writings, as well as his lectures, are liberally sprinkled with a wit that is as instructive as it is amusing. The Fifty-Eight Faculty Research Lecture is reproduced here as it was delivered by Professor Mellinkoff on April 14,1983 at Schoenberg Hall on the UCLA campus.'
