Description:
London: MacMillan. Fine in Fine dust jacket. 1987. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. The first book in Bankss popular Culture Series. Amazon announced a TV adaptation in 2018, but this got cancelled in August 2020, probably due to the pandemic, but it will probably just be time before these well loved stories makes it to our screens. A fine unread book in a F DJ, slightest of fading to the spine. Unclipped but with no price, I believe this is an export DJ. Housed in a custom cloth clamshell for protection. ; Culture Series .

London: Hamish Hamilton. Very Good. 1961. Uncorrected Proof. Hardcover. An exceptional rare uncorrected proof of an uncommon book. Proof is VG and showing some spotting and toning. Now kept in an archival polybag for protection. Maclaren-ross is synonymous with the bohemian world of mid-twentieth-century Soho, where he rubbed shoulders with the likes of Dylan Thomas, quentin Crisp, Aleister Crowley and more. His work is admired by writers like Evelyn Waugh, John betjeman, Graham Greene and many more. Campaigning by groups such as the Lost Club and the Sohemian Society has kept his reputation alive, and there was a resurgence of interest in his work following the 2003 publication of his biography by Paul Willet's - Fear and Loathing in Fitzrovia. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

New York: Tor. Fine in Fine dust jacket. 2004. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. A fine copy in a fine DJ, flat signed by Maclead on the title page. " After the events of the Hard Rapture, a catastrophic conflict ignited by the sudden evolution of Earth's artificial intelligences into transcendent post-humans, millions of humans were brutally butchered by the post-humans' war machines. Some space-faring humans returned to Earth to heroically fight the war machines while others escaped to distant stars to try and start over again. Then, the ultimately triumphant post-humans inexplicably disappeared and left the remnants of humanity to their own devices. Now, centuries later, Lucinda Carlyle -- an untested leader in a family of galactic entrepreneurs (a. K. A. Crooks) who have taken control of a chain of invaluable wormholes left behind by the post-humans -- stumbles across a gate that leads to a remote planet (Eurydice) inhabited by a colony of isolated humans living in…
