The jacket has been somewhat less fortunate, split completely at the spine, with a few large chips missing along the top edge at the WHI and the O in For. Front and rear panels largely intact though and still attractive. Scarce in jacket. Published posthumously but completed before her death in 1952. Malthus's theory that spending on both public works and private luxuries could alleviate recessions and downturns by creating demand and prosperity were well ahead of his time.
