A very nice copy, book and dustcover both near fine. The book is identical to the first U.S. trade edition, except that the end papers are white and the top edge is white (not red); notably, there is no blindstamp on the lower posterior aspect of the cloth-covered spine. Patterned paper-covered boards, black cloth-covered boards, gilt spine lettering, no additional printings indicated on the copyright page, 319 pp., very near fine. The lower front flap of the dustcover states "Book Club Edition" and is price clipped (yes, there was a price, with the bottom portion of the dollar sign still visable).
