Frontispiece of the two lovers. Original publisher's cloth with gilt embossed title to the spine. A number of unopened pages have been forced leaving some notable chips to the margins of some leaves. No loss of text. Light rubbing to the cloth at the head of the front board. Slight rubbing to the corners and to the outer spine joint at the tail. A very good, tight copy.

Dust wrapper is not price clippedA few short tears from the wrapper edges, now repaired with acid free archival tape to the reverse of the wrapper. A couple of small 0.5 cm areas of loss from the head of the front of the wrapper. The wrapper remains bright and fresh. A very good copy.

There is rubbing to the head and tail of the spine with a little loss of the cloth and light bumps to all corners with associated light rubbing. Neat ink inscription to the front end paper reading 'Theodore Podger, H. M. S. "Cornwall", Chatham, 9 Sept 1937'. There is some splitting to the rear inner hinge leaving the rear board a little tender. Small stain to the margin of pp4 and pp 5. Some scattered light foxing to the end papers, fore edges and title page and some scattered finger soiling. Complete. A fair copy of this scarce book.

The text supported by numerous charming illustrations by the author/artist. An ink date to the head of the front paste-down and an ink gift inscription to the head of the front endpaper. Slight finger soil marks to a couple of pages but the text block like the boards is essentially very clean. A 1cm split in the joint at the head of the spine with light associated rubbing and a fine 4.5cm split to the same joint - not very noticeable together with a couple of other areas of rubbing. A very good or very good minus tight clean copy of a charming how to draw book.

A very fresh, very good copy.

The head and tail of the spine and a couple of corners of the front board bumped. The jacket has not been price-clipped. A very good, clean, tight copy in like jacket.
