Boards well worn, with much of the outer paper and 3/4 inch of leather at head of spine lost, hinges a bit wobbly, bookplates of Watts de Peyster Library and Franklin & Marshall College on front endpapers, inventory number on verso of title page. Otherwise unmarked, clean and sound. Begins with Volume I, Number 1 (September 25, 1913) and runs through Volume I, Number 26 (March 19, 1814), followed by Addenda. Sabin 1260. Published for just two years, this scarce periodical offers a weekly compilation of "domestic news from every part of the continent," as well as reports on financial and legal matters, foreign policy, and government documents and reports containing a wealth of information and relating to the War of 1812.

Not paginated, but ca. 75 pages, printed rectos only. Includes a section of color illustrations and several flow charts. A photocopy of the Orange County Transportation Commission's Request for Proposals to which this is a response is laid in. The idea was to examine ways to design and implement a "High Flow Arterial Concept" in order to "increase the efficiency of existing arterial highways by grade separating major arterial intersections to reduce the number of stops required in the average trip." Both a program for a Shriners convention and a guide for visitors to Portland and vicinity, this attractive production includes seven colored views of local scenery (downtown Portland, Rose Festival, Crown Point, Horsetail Falls, Shepperd's Dell, etc), as well black and white images of commercial and municipal buildings, parks, and harbor. The text touts Portland as "the center of a great territory, full of potential resources....capable of indefinite growth" and describes many local attractions. Attendees were also provided an extensive schedule of activities, including sightseeing excursions, concerts and dancing baseball games, a horse show, a decorated vehicle parade, and pyrotechnic display.

Many of the poems are about specific features--both natural and manmade--of the Park, such as Nevada and Vernal Falls, Half Dome, El Capitan, Glacier Point, the Ahwahnee, Yosemite Lodge, and Camp Curry.
