In a price-clipped dust jacket, with sporadic shallow open tears to the edges, several vertical creases to the inside flaps, and subtle toning. The front panel has a bit of minor soiling. No Newbery Award sticker. Illustrated by Zena Bernstein. The author, Robert C. O'Brien was born in New York City and grew up in a family of Irish storytellers. A children's classic, winner of the Newbery Medal.
