An accordian style book with wood covers. Front side appears to have some water damage. Twenty cases each has a hand colored illustration, two per page. Appears to be water color and colored pencil on silk with a silk background.
Outside dimensions 8 1/4" X 6. Upon opening there is a tear at the top and a knotch size hole at the inseam. The previous owner told me it is in Cantonese and it is also in English. It looks like the author's name is along the inside of the board but I can't read Cantonese. Ships with delivery confirmation where available.

Good- may be generous but the book appears complete and does not contain writing other than a personalization on the ffep in pencil which is laid in. A well used cook book with cracked hinges, dog eared pages, stains, and very rubbed hardcover. Prize winning recipes for every day of the year which was supposed to not exceed $500 for a family of five. Obviously this is not a new facsimile for those of you who collect cookbooks. Interesting product ads, a Richelieu Brand ad is attached to the back cover with a New Product Flour ad opposite. No free back end paper. 607 pages including index. Antique fragile book ships in a box.

Signed by Charles' son Edward after his death to Major Booth with the mailing label attached to inside cover. On half title page, "In memory of Charles R. Mabey To: Major C.C. Booth With Sincere Best Wishes! Edward M. Mabey" After the Preface is written, "Charles Mabey passed away 4/26/59." No dust jacket. HC is in fair condition due to a bookcover having been removed which removed portions of the burgundy cover, please see photos. The inside is in VG condition. There is discoloration along the inside binding.

Book#1 has some wear to wrapper and a stain on bottom edge. Inside Very Good, has a little wavey spot on the bottom by the spill. COMPLETELY REVISED AND UPDATED with entries for Memaoch the Devil. Book #2 has a lot of wear to the wrapper with the name and phone number written on the verso of the cover but the book itself is Near Fine. Both books ship as one by Standard Shipping only.

This is a study that was conducted in Canada. A rare out of print book. There is a lot of wear to the softcover wrapper but no writing or personalization inside. The website for the C. D. Howe Institute states that it "is an independent not-for-profit research institute whose mission is to raise living standards by fostering economically sound public policies. Widely considered to be Canada's most influential think tank......... The Institute's research is national in scope and we host policy events across the country". This book is located in the U.S.A.

This is the softcover version of this book. It does not appear to have been read. It has the second printing line, most likely first paperback edition.

Almost like new, crease in spine, crease in back wrapper corner.

Lettering is bright, spot on cover and backside. Bottom pages by foredge dusty or dirty. The second chapter has some underlining and notes. Two lines later on. Hinges, corners are okay. Front dust jacket bottom clipped with price sticker that coincides with receipt from Japan. U. S. Price at top also states, "A complete and unabridged edition". Inside of dust jacket, including under flaps, is a listing of Harper International books. The jacket is worn along the edges with tears on the backside and a piece missing near the spine. There is a beverage spill on the foredge. Copyright page states Not For Sale in the U.S. or Canada. Printed in Japan (also on back flap by the bottom). First Printing March 1966. Second Printing May, 1968. This means this is the second printing of the first edition. Rare international edition. Rarely found in any edition with dust jacket. International and Priority Mail by Weight - 4 pounds. Drop ship available as standard.

Rubbed edges and corners with bent under edges of spine. Hinge is split at title page. One dog eared page. About a half inch closed tear page 120. Cupples & Leon Co on spine. Top edge is red. Back cover has a small red spot. No dust jacket. Title page and Contents page have a small tear along the bottom of the fold. Book is complete with 248 pp plus four pages of ads for series books. Illustrated end papers with book written in pencil owners signature Clara Savage from a Book Store in Boston, Ma.
