It is both deconstruction of the physical book and the story itself. It is a journey of Alice in Wonderland and Alice in the role of the fallen Hollywood celebrity. The juxtaposition of what is found in tabloid magazines and Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland both echo similar worlds of Hollywood and Wonderland, a fantasy place that is not real.

Christopher Saclolo: "This book is from my childhood memory about eating dinner. When I was younger I had a reluctance of eating dinner at a certain time. To help stimulate my appetite my mother would turn on the television for me to watch The Muppet Show in order to keep me in one place. While eating, the theme song was this sort of stimulus in my mind to know that it was dinnertime. In my artist book, I incorporated the theme song lyrics on one side while on the other a kind of sequential routine I would go through while watching the show.

This powerful, exquisitely rendered 3-volume collaboration between Caren Heft of Arcadian Press and Jeffrey Morin of sailorBOYpress is done in the spirit of the ars moriendi (the art of dying), 15th-century Christian texts with instructions about how to die well developed (perhaps) in response to the Black Plague. Heft and Morin use the format ironically to look contemporary scourges: suicide bombers, the destructive effect of mercury in the environment, AIDS. The woodcuts from the Middle Age-originals are replaced by an assemblage of tape, pins, stitchery, beads, and pieces of metal. The effect is powerful, even overwhelming.

It was created originally for the installation Chapel of Uncommon Prayer. The All Girl's Assembly held each year during Miriam Schaer's Junior High School years in Kenmore, New York, outside of Buffalo inspired New Jersey poet Mary Florio's poem. Based on Schaer's memories and memorabilia from that time, Florio creates a new sort of Posture Queen, who stands straight, even under the most trying circumstances.

The portfolio of 19 prints, an edition of 3, was created around "Baby (Not) On Board: The Final Prejudice?", an installation of hyper-realistic dolls and mannequins dressed in baby dresses and rompers embroidered with critical quotes said to women without children.  This hardcover edition of The Presence of Their Absence takes the form of a photographic essay accompanied by an autobiographical text describing Schaer's experience as a woman without children, and a survey of hostile attitudes toward this status. Keri Miki-Lani Schroeder: "'The 1962 Centralia, Pennsylvania underground mine fire is still burning as of 2023, and is estimated to continue burning for another 250 years. Text for this book was created by entering keywords from an article about the Centralia mine fire into an online poetry generator. Images are scanned from original watercolor and salt paintings and digitally printed on Canon paper. The binding is a drum leaf variation with a heat map design on the cover.  "This book was originally created for an exhibition of books inspired by using Artist's Books Ideation Cards by Julie Chen and Barb Tetenbaum. This edition is updated from a prototype of the same title created in 2015.
