Beautifully colored and drawn children's book about some children who have a fantastic adventure in some far off land with creatures and dinosaurs. Light minute wear to the illustrated bds. including a small scrape and one small mended tear to one page using archival tape, otherwise this uncommon fragile children's book is in near fine condition, a miracle indeed considering its age and cheap paper used.

The photos are strong and expressionistic in their pictorial compostions showing the men in vulnerable situations and document a lost segment of the Jewish community in this small town. The photos also can't help but bring to mind the holocaust because of the interiors of the bath house bare some resemblance to the death chambers of the concentration camps. Laid in is a nice large 4pg. brochure for the sale of the prints. The fragile paper covers have wear, and minor creases which appears to be common with this book, the interior of the book is very good..

Original 9" x 12" 24pg. souvenir program for "The World Of Carl Sandburg"that Bette Davis and her then husband, Gary Merrill, toured America for about a year. This was more a less a dramatic reading of the poet Carl Sandburg's life and work and featured folk songs, anecdotes and a tribute to Lincoln. I'm assuming that this is from the original Los Angeles production because when it finally came to Broadway in 1960, Merrill was gone, replaced by Leif Ericson who is mainly known as being once married to Frances Farmer. The "play" lasted for only 29 performances. The bright red covers have a small soft corner crease to the bottom corner and minor light soiling. Insides are illustrated with many photos of Bette Davis along with material on Carl Sandburg. Scarce. Vg.
