Description:
New York: Osprey, 2003. 2nd Printing. Soft Cover. Near Fine. 7x0x9. White, John. Second printing. Minor edge wear. 2003 Soft Cover. 64 pp. The fateful attack on Pearl Harbor forced the Western world to revise its opinion of Japan's airmen. Before the war, Japanese aviators had been seen as figures of ridicule and disdain; yet the ruthless skill and efficiency of their performance in December 1941 and the months that followed won them a new reputation as a breed of oriental superman. This book explores the world of the Imperial Japanese Naval airman, from the zenith of his wartime career until the turning of the tide, when the skill and experience of the average Japanese airman declined. Cultural and social background, recruitment, training, daily life and combat experience are all covered.

Description:
CA: Galil Motion Control, Inc, 1994. Large Softcover. Near Fine. 11x8x0. Very minor general wear. 1994 Large Softcover. 208, 19 pp. Introduction: The purpose of this book is to provide a simplified step-by-step procedure for the design of motion control systems. It is written for engineers and scientists and requires no previous experience with such systems. The book consists of two parts. The first part, including Chapters 1-8, deals with system elements, selection, and operation. The second part, starting with Chapter 9, covers the subject of motion programming: namely, how to use existing hardware to perform the required motion. All the chapters were written as independent modules. In order to focus the discussion on a specific system, we assume through the first part that the system utilizes an electric servo motor. The discussion, however, also applies almost fully to closed-loop systems utilizing hydraulic motors with the exception of some discussions on modeling.
