Talbot is a childrenÂ’s book produced by H.A. & L.J. DeLand & Co. the manufacturers of DeLandÂ’s Chemical Baking Powder. The first page has a childÂ’s name written in cursive with Lewis County, NY under it. DelandÂ’s was the second producer of baking powder in the country, beginning their manufacturing in 1852. The product came to be called Cap Sheaf Soda. Some blank pages stained from opposing page's illustrations, Binding torn in some places.

Margaret Mitchell (pictured in pamphlet), director of the test kitchen at Wear-Ever Cooking Utensil Company worked to develop utensils suitable for the electric range. Homemakers were troubled by their electric bills after installing their new electric ranges - Mitchell studied the sizes, shapes, and capacities of the utensils being used in households and deduced from her investigation that utensils for electric ranges should have straight sides and perfectly flat bottoms. Illustrated throughout featuring vivid silver colored paper. Covers lightly rubbed, and lightly folded.
