Helsinki: Metro Goldwyn Mayer, 1955. 1st Edition 1st Printing. No Binding. Near Fine. A super Finnish cinema poster for the 1953 British movie "Time Bomb" starring Glenn Ford and Anne Vernon. Retitled "Terror on a Train" for North American audiences, the film did not premier in Finland until 1955 and had only the one theatrical release. This poster is not a modern reproduction and nor is it Video/DVD-related. Standard Finnish A2 size, 60cm x 40cm approx. Printed by Salonen Oy and signed in the plate by the prolific poster artist, Engel. This is a cinema-used lobby poster. No pinholes but clamping marks/creasing to both edges - not hugely noticeable from the front except in the white border around the image. Helsinki: Paramount Pictures, 1956. 1st Edition 1st Printing. No Binding. Very Good. A very nice First Screening, Finnish lobby poster for the Martin & Lewis comedy You're Never Too Young. The film's first and only cinema screenings took place in Finland in 1956. Standard Finnish A2 size, measuring approximately 15.5" x 23.5. The poster was made by Fotopaino Oy, artist signed in the plate. Condition: C7, Very Good. A rolled poster. No very obvious signs of mounting but possibly clamped. At the top edge, above the R in "Parturi", there is a small (1/4 inch) tear. Some minor nicks to the extreme bottom edge and a couple to the left edge. Original maroon cloth with decorative inlaid decorative title to the front cover and gilt titles to the backstrip. pp. iii, 300, illustrated and 2 leaves of ads at the rear of the book. A nice copy - spotted at the pastedowns and endpapers but internally clean and fresh otherwise. Pushed and rubbed at the corners and spine tips but the covers are clean and the titles bright. An uncommon early history of the home of cricket.

London: The O'Shea Gallery, 2003. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good. Corners, board edges and spine tips bumped/rubbed a little but otherwise a nice clean copy. Laminated illustrated boards without dustjacket as issued. Inscribed to a previous owner by name by the author/artist at the title page, "with very best wishes".

London: Geoffrey Bles, 1972. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. First Printing. pp.185, illus (by Peter Biegel), original red cloth with gilt titles at the spine. A VG copy - free from owner names, spotting, foxing, damp-staining etc, internally very clean, small bump to the foot of the backstrip, minor bumping to lower corners. The dustjacket is unclipped and with no other loss. Minor rubs at the corners and crown and at the rear panel there are a couple of biro marks and a scrape mark near the edge. The jacket is slightly tanned and/or colour-faded, Good++ or better. Overall a superior copy of this occult classic which is very difficult to find in decent shape and in the first edition.
