This double-sided sheet of games was published as a supplement to the magazine "Kingu" (vol.2, no.1) and issued on New Year's Day 1926. The "Race Around the World Sugoroku", not surprisingly, features a map of the world, but excludes Antarctica and islands, including all in the Pacific. The civil war in China (1850-64), also known as the Taiping Rebellion, erupted northward from Guangxi to the Yangtze. This image shows the bombardment of the East Gate at Fungwha (Fenghua) by guns from British vessels HMS Encounter and Sphinx on 9 October 1862. The battle was fiercely fought. This unusual and fascinating information booklet on Kyoto Dye samples was published by a Kyoto dye merchant, Matsuno Shoten, in 1929. This is not an ordinary example booklet of a business's product range, but contains rare insights into the industry, business and socio-economy of that period. It shows several photographs of the shop front, its workers, VIP drawing room and the owner's residence. In addition, numerous photographs of the workshops, design drawing, and dying processes show how kimono fabrics were produced.
