Newly bound in handsome 3/4 black cloth with black feather design paper, blue end papers. Rough cut paper edges are sometimes browned and crisp, text is clean and unmarked, wide margins, occasional light humidity staining in margins, very occasional small stains in the margins. The Arabic section paper is more browned and there are some humidity stains in the upper section of the page. Corrigenda between the two volumes paper was never separated. Half title in the Arabic part is worn and browned. No blanks. Very scarce at auction, a nice copy. Original ribbed gray-green cloth covers with art nouveau style print has wear and general staining and age. Boards are bowed, spine tips rubbed. Interior endpapers are oxidized with some small old marks, first 2 blanks have small chip at bottom edge, last blank has a crosswise tear above where the errata slip is laid in, a very occasional light pencil mark in the text, otherwise nice. ; 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall; 126 pages .

Scarce 1st edition of this comprehensive guide to the New England states, including NY and Quebec, with many wonderful pages of ads. Light orange boards are grubby and worn at extremities, front cover gilt legible, spine gilt exterminated by library labels. Covers are detaching, first fly page (advert) is chipped and worn, some light staining and wear throughout. Standard library marks. However, book block is sturdy, all text maps and folding plates are present and very clean. The rear pocket is missing as is the overall map of New England. Handsome diced calf of the period with gilt ruling, somewhat worn, corners worn and repaired with newer leather, spine has been handsomely rebacked with new leather (nicely mottled to match the boards and with new end bands) with 5 raised bands and gilt blindruling, black/gilt spine label, gilt edges. Interior has old marbled end pages, title page with engraved printer's mark, bit of foxing on title, some foxing at rear pages, otherwise clean and nice, very sturdy. Very handsome and usable Greek New Testament Bible, nice patina, beautiful repairs. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 572 pages .
