In various stages of completion.Ê These are animated advertising sketches for Keebler Cookies and Starkist Tuna, featuring the Keebler Elves and Charlie the Tuna. Charlie the Tuna, one of the most recognized U.S. ad icons, was an anthropomorphic cartoon tuna in ads that usually featured the phrase "Sorry, Charlie." The animated Keebler Elves also rank among the best-known mid to late 20th century ad mascots. These characters were created by Leo Burnett Worldwide [an advertising agency] in the early-to-mid-1960s. These pieces were acquired from a Chicago-based source, so while these are not marked, it is possible that they were created at the Chicago-based Burnett Agency.

Ê Ê Nestor Makhno was a legendary Ukrainian anarcho-communist revolutionary and the commander of an independent anarchist army in Ukraine in 1917-22. His attempt to create agrarian anarchist communes in rural districts of the Ukraine set him at odds with Bolshevik forces in Moscow. He remains an inspiration to anarchist and anti-authoritarian movements in Europe to the present day.

Slides demonstrate a wide range of eye diseases and disorders, including retinal detachment, syphilis choroiditis, thrombosis, acute cataracts, retinal hemorrhage, nephritic retinopathy and diabetic retinitis, among others. Condition illustrated on the slide and slide number written in blue ink on borders of some slides.
