Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1967 Stated first printing with extra ink drawing of Arthur and inscription by the author on the front endpaper. Above Arthur is a balloon, "Hi Marcia I'm sort of filling in for Lyle...My name is Arthur and I have almost as much Fun!" Beneath the drawing, "Love/Your good friend,/Bernie Waber/and/Your other good friend/Lyle". Jacket spine is slightly darkened, and there is a 1/2" by 1" chip missing at the rear fold. An attractive copy with an endearing inscription.

Mainz, 1876 Bound in purple cloth over marbleed boards, 98,46, 86, 51 pp. The first printing of this opera which was performed for the first time on 16 August, 1876 at the Bayreuth Festspeilhaus.Edges show shelf wear, else very good.

Self, 1982 This is an 157 page spiral bound book on the Eldo Wagoner, and Ida and Pearl Renicker families of Carroll County INdiana, tracing descendants to the time of publication and back into the early 1700's. Other surnames include Boomershine, Heibergerm rench [Rentsch], Metzger, Root, Skiles -Stiles-Styles, Ulery-Ullery. Descendants of Eldo, Ida and Pearl are primarily in Indiana.

London : Herbert Jenkins, 1966 Bound in navy blue cloth with gilt titles, 168 pp. Nice clean copy with numerous illustrations. Jacket with modest wear to extremities and three small closed tears.

London : John, Francis & Charles Rivington, 1786 Bound in full leather with spine perished, boards held with clear tape, [i]-xvi, [1]-[208], 4pp. ads. Offsetting from boards to the first three leaves front and back. Suitable reading copy or for rebinding.

London: Smith, Elder & Co., 1834 Often quoted work on the 'science' of physiognomy/phrenology. This copy bound in blue cloth with darker blue leather spine, spine decoration in gilt. blank endpaper, frontis, tp, [iii]-vi, list of embellishments, erratum, [1]-286, ad for The Nervous System by Walker, "in the press and sppedily will be published", blank endpaper. Illustrated with numerous drawings. Offsetting where an old newspaper illustration of Professor Laynard's work was laid in [now laid in back], foxed frontis only. All edges gilt, wear at spine extremities, spine decorations lightly rubbed but still quite bright. Worldcat locates but three titles, one in the US and two in UK libraries.

Muncie: Ball State university, 1991 This is a 173 pp book with color frontis and signed by Janet Walker on ffep.

New York : E & J White and C Starr, 1818 Bound in full period calf with red morocco spine label, 384 pp. Covers with some spotting, first few leaves damp stained. A good attractive, solid copy.

Norwich, CT: The Committee , 1885 Bound in black cloth with image of gilt soldier on front cover, gilt spine titles, 444 pp. Quite sharp clean copy with a touch of fade to the spine, damp stain inside front cover affecting only it and a touch of the first endpaper. Laid in is a printed apology from the committee for a delay in completing the book. It was expected to be finished in August 1884 but was not published until 1885.

Limited Editions Club, 1960 Bound in black quarter leather over almond wove cloth, #678/1500, signed by illustrator Joe Magnami. Book is mostly unread in brown slipcase with a touch of fading around the edges of the back cover.

Harper, 1902 Very attractive copy bound in violet with silver and gold decorations, the gold being in the form of a smowflake, top edge gilt.. Published September 1902. There are four tipped in plates- frontis and three illustrations. There is a small ter to the tissue guard, and one page has been cropped and professionally reattached [repair nearly invisible].

Troy, Ohio: John T. Twillis, 1838 Front board missing, front endpaper, title page and recommendation page have large chip in margin, affecting text of recommendation page only. Numerous pages with turned corners. Early remedy book for treating horses in the western and southwestern states. 171 pages plus index.

Strawberry Hill: Thomas Kirgate, 1765 Bound in18th century full leather stamped with a herringbone pattern with elaborate blind stamped borders, double gilt borders, five raised bands with bright gilt titles and panel decorations, book plate of Caxton Hall in each volume. Contents are fine, mostly unread. Offsetting from engravings. One volume with light foxing, the last few pages. Each volume with some cracking at the front gutter with volumes 2 and 5 tender but holding. Volume 4 is dated 1771, while the others are dated 1765. Volumes 2-5 with a small chip at the spine tail.

Wolfe Publishing Co., 1986 Bound in quarter leather over cloth, #215/1500. This copy unread in original glassine jacket, bubble wrap and shipping box.

Simon & Schuster, 1956 Bound in blue over red cloth, 342 pp., stated first printing. Jacket with touches of wear, a couple of nicks around edges, reinforced internally with clear tape at folds. Tipped onto the front endpaper is a Barlett's unfamiliar Quotation, "Walter Hagen was an artist with a sense of timing so infallible that he could make the tying of his shoelaces more dramatic than the other guy's hole-in-one." Herbert Warren Wind. Original owner's name on front end paper and also small stamp on rear endpaper. An attractive copy.

Philadelphia: Lindsay & Blakiston, 1853 Bound in scuffed leather but still presentable leather, front endpapers nearly detached. Pages nice and white with very little foxing. 592 pages plus 7 page index,

London: Bell and Daldy, 1864 Rebound in grey cloth over paper, top edge gilt, frontis is detached and has a chip on the foredge, mostly unread..A nice bright, tight copy.

Heritage Press, 1938 Bound in blue beveled boards with gilt decorations, 241 pp. Title page states Heritage Press New York/Nonesuch Press London. Apparently an early transition from when Macy of the lLimited Edition Club purchased the Heritage Press.
