The jacket has not been price-clipped and is slightly toned to the spine with some uniform fading to the red colour on the spine of the jacket. A lovely copy in very good jacket.

The book has the slightest of fading to the tail of the spine, concealed under the wrapper, but is otherwise in near fine condition. The dust wrapper has not been price clipped, though has very light fading to the spine & to the periphery of the rear of the wrpaper. A little rubbing along the edges of the spine. Well preserved.

Light bump to the tail of the spine and the very slightest of slight soil marks to the upper fore edge. Fresh and firm. Dust wrapper not price clipped. Slight shelf wear to the wrapper edges. Clean and tight. A near fine copy.

There is gilt embossed lettering to the spine of the book. Two corners of the book are ever so slightly bumped & the front board edge is lightly bumped in two places, all concealed under the wrapper. The book is otherwise extremely fresh & clean. The dust wrapper has not been price clipped, though the spine has faded. The wrapper has other slight shelf wear but is otherwise very good. A lovely copy.

Text in both Japanese and English. Light bumps to the head and tail of the spine and to two board corners. Previous name ( ?) in Japanese red characters to the head of the front end paper. Clean and tight. Dust wrapper is not price clipped. There is a little chipping to the corners at the head of the spine of the wrappers. Short tear of 1.5 cm to the head of the rear panel of the wrapper, with some associated creasing and expertly repaired and another short tear of 1 cm from the top corner of the rear panel of the wrapper, likewise repaired. There is a little soiling to the wrapper. A very good copy in a very good minus wrapper.

The cloth at the tail of the spine is lightly bumped. The leaves of 5 page corners are lightly turned. Light foxing to the upper fore edges and slightly to the front fore edges. Clean and tight. Dust wrapper not price clipped. A few slight niks to the head and tail of the spine of the wrapper with a little associated rubbing. One other short tear expertly repaired. No loss. Light crease to the length of the spine of the wrapper. The wrapper has the title Wife Apparent printed over the original title of Lady In Waiting on the spine of the wrapper and the front of the wrapper. Clean and tight. A very good copy.

A very good copy of a very scarce and charming childrens book. Colonel Berkley's text supported by his slightly bizarre but charming illustrations of Bogwumps. Original publisher's paper covered boards - illustrated in colour to the front board. A mauve ink stain mark to the extreme upper corner of the front endpaper. A couple of light drink semi-ring marks to the front board. A stain mark 1cm in diameter to the front board. Closed splits to the spine strip external hinge to one margin at the head and tail of the spine - both around 4cm in length. Some light scattered foxing most noticable to the endpapers. A charming scarce childrens book.

Finger soiling to the leaves. 2/3 of the rear end ppaer is missing and there is cracking to pp48. One leaf corner is missing. A fair copy.

The book has been illustrated with four full page illustrations including a frontispiece, although the one opposite page 14 is missing. Internally clean and tight, ligth spine lean. A very good copy.

There is slight loss to the wrapper at the head of the spine where the wrapper has several short tears and associated creasing. Internally clean and tight. A very good copy.

A good or good plus only largely very clean ex. library copy, but somewhat fortunately bound in brown buckram cloth by a library probably in 1965 (date to rear paste-down) with gilt titles to the spine. Also relatively few library markings: some rubbing to the front paste-down, a circular ink cancellation to the title page with a biro number and one to the rear of the same page. Slight creasing to the extreme corners of around 3 leaves. A good ex-library copy of a scarce publication - the tours selected from 'the annals of agriculture'; 'they have been preferred to the others therein included because they are less concerned with agriculture and its technical aspects'. A good plus only ex. library copy of a scarce publication.
