A collection of Christmas stories, poems, and songs from around the world, as told by Jane Yolen, and illustrated by dePaola. 9-1/4" X 10-1/4", 128 pages. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. No tears, no creases, no writing on the jacket. Sturdy illustrated cover boards, the corners are not bumped, no edge wear. This is a reinforced binding edition. There is a former owner's embossed ownership mark on the first flyleaf - a circular impression about 1-1/2" across at the top right corner of the first flyleaf. No further marks or writing besides that embossed mark and the signature. Binding is tight and square. Edges of the text block are clean. This is not a remainder copy, not a library discard copy. Not a remainder copy. A collection of three novellas, all of which are set in the late Renaissance; 'An Obscure Man', 'Anna..Soror'. Also includes a lengthy 'Postfaces' section in which the author discusses each work. Red-brown boards over black cloth covered spine, with the title and author imprinted on the spine in gold. Boards are flat and the corners are not bumped or creased. No edge wear. sewn binding is tight and square. Edges of the text block show a couple dots of staining - one to the fore edge about the size of a pencil point, one to the top edge about the size of a sesame seed.
