Cambridge University Press, 1936 Bound in teal cloth with gilt lettering in tan jacket with green titles. The only detraction from this book is that the jacket has some water staining on front, small chips at spine extremities and a large closed tear.Jacket still looks quite presentable, almost as if the stains were a design.

The first volume of each series has a wartime compliance statement and [g-1-44] [g-2-44 on the copyright page. A nice, bright, clean set with no ownership name or marks. Covers and spine gilt quite nice. Extra shipping may apply.

Greenfield, Massachusetts: A Phelps and a Clark, 1825 Bound in full leather which is worn and scuffed but still quite presentable. There is some foxing and dampstaining but still, a good, solid, clean copy.

This handsome copy with lightly rubbed covers, name on title page, missing a large part of the first map, small clear tape repair [now browned] on verso of title page. Scribners, 1950 Bound in black cloth with gilt titles, a bright clean copy. Cover with minor rubbing, spots, spine somewhat faded. First edition second state. Copy with both the A and Scribner seal on copyright page.

Spine is splitting at the gutter and one signature has pulled loose [bound with staples].Pages are tanned but supple. Photos are all bright and clean. Winchester Press, 1978 This is a 354 page book with dust jacket cover depicting elaborate rods. Previous owner's name inside front cover else book in condition you would find in a bookstore.

Grosset & Dunlap, 1928 Scarce Garis title, this with soiled covers and foredge of textblock [does not appear when pages are opened]. Front and rear endpapers are color illustrations, internal ones black and white.

Washington, D. C.: National Tribune, 1897 Autobiographical account of adventure during the Civil War. Wilson was part of a group of union men who went south to steal a train and run back north, cutting telegraph wires and tearing up track on the way. This is his account of the adventure, eventual capture and return to the north. Bound in mustard covered flexible wraps on cheap paper. Paper has a chipped fore edge [margin] on the first several leaves and a large chip on the lower corner, not affecting the text. A complete copy that may be read carefully.[Paper is still flexible but somewhat fragile. 237 pp plus 16 pp ads.
