Increasingly scarce, especially in nice condition.

New York: (The Lincoln Farm Association), 1907. First edition. Illustrated with photographs. First appearance of Tarbell's essay. A "souvenir" book for the "Lincoln Dinner of the Republican Club of the City of New York February 12, 1907." Published by The Lincoln Farm Association incorporated the year before for the purposes of "honoring and perpetuating the memory of Abraham Lincoln, the taking and holding of 110 acres of his birthplace farm, and the development and maintenance of the same." Tarbell was one of the original members of the Board of Directors. (National Park Service website). 16mo gray-green cloth with gilt-stamped front; tan buckram spine; 36pp. Cloth at spine a little soiled and rubbed and corners nicked otherwise very good.

New York: Harcourt, Brace & Co., [circa 1926].. First edition. Pre-publication booklet illustrated with photographs. One of a stated 2500 copies of this prospectus. Though the publisher suggests on the cover its "preservation as a Lincoln item," it would appear not many people did. 34 pp; stapled, printed green paperwraps. Damp staining to top edge throughout, covers chipped, worn and splitting at spine. Fair to good only but complete. Scarce.

Hartford: Press of Case, Lockwood and Company, 1860. First edition. INSCRIBED BY BURROWS on front endpaper to "The Honorable Judge McCurdy/ From his old friend & Most [illegible] Servent [sic]/ Silas E. Burrows." Burrows' record of the proceedings before the court in the case of the American citizen Silas Enoch Burrows [1794-1870] vs British Ship, Australia, Formerly American Ship Rob Roy in which Burrows lost his rights to his ship, the Rob Roy, while it was at dock in Hong Kong, then a colony and dependent territory of the UK, when "the surveyor, the agent of the owner [condemned] and then purchased the ship." Charles Johnson McCurdy [1797-1891], the 40th Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut was, at the time of publication, a Judge of the Connecticut Superior Court. 8vo blind-stamped brown cloth lettered in gilt on front "BRITISH ADMIRALTY PROCEEDINGS AMERICAN SHIP ROB ROY"; 87 pages plus index. Spine faded else very good. Scarce to rare.

Fine in near fine, though understandably edge-rumpled, dust jacket, which overhangs the proof.
