Softcover nearly fine. Two nicely printed remembrances of Albert M. Bender, writer, book collector, and patron saint of artists in San Francisco at the early 20th century.  The folio volume was printed for members of the Roxburghe Club.

Former owner's embossed monogram to endpapers, remnants of an old sticker to ffep else clean internally and very good. Presented with facsimile jacket wrapped in mylar. Edgar Pangborn's first novel published under the pseudonym of Bruce Harrison and some 20+ years before he began writing science fiction.  Scarce.

Interesting issue of this newsletter with a lengthy, passionate letter from Larry McMurtry on the topic of piracy, as was being debated by members of the ABAA in relation to its code of ethics at the time. Very good with some light curling at corners else clean.

Uncommon issue of this periodical distributed only to members of the AFA, and published each Lunar Month on the date of the Lunation, which is printed on the front cover.  Articles include "Position of Planets Linked to Solar Flare Prediction," by Rex Pay; "Frustration - Fulfillment: Techniques for Helping - Dynamic Focus," by Hortense M. Gottschall; "Astrology and the Bible," by E. Julian Mills; and others.

Boston: Chapple Publishing Company, Ltd, 1922. First edition. 8vo, 109pp. Illustrated with photographs throughout, map of Yellowstone on the rear endpapers. Signed and inscribed by the author to Henry T. Hall and dated 1923 on the ffep. Blue cloth ruled in blind with pictorial pastedown on front cover. Some toning to spine, bumping to edges, and light scuffing to label, else clean. Uncommon Yellowstone volume from Joe Mitchell Chapple (1867-1950), journalist and longtime editor of the Boston-based National Magazine. The work consists of short stories and impressions of the park accompanied by copious photographs, many credited to Haynes.

Good condition with heavy rubbing to wraps near spine, lightly curled corners, and very slight worm damage to foredge of page block, not affecting the text. Interesting little booklet containing the famous self-help speech from the Baptist church minister, Conwell, published by the commerce school, Oxford Institute, Chicago Illinois. No date, but ca. 1936, as recorded in a cease and desist agreement for false and misleading advertising of courses of instruction and textbooks, in volume 24 of the Federal Trade Commission Decisions for 1939 (the last in a long list of offenses): "...publishing and distributing the lecture by D.
