Four of the eight pages are full page chromolithograph illustrations. Appear to be the work of Frances Brundage. The remainder of the pages are rhyming verse. Front cover has Art Nouveau influenced poppy border. c1905. Measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/2". Condition: overall excellent.

New York New York - Waldorf Astoria, 23-Dec-07. Light ribbon wear; else fine.. A 2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4" silk covered press board box with The 102nd Annual Festival of the New England Society of the City of New York, December 23, 1907, Waldorf Astoria in woven silk on box side. Affixed to the top with a ribbon tie is a scrolled piece of paper. When opened the scroll reveals a somewhat detailed map of New England. No contents in the box. The New England Society in the City of New York (NES) is one of the oldest social and charitable organizations in the United States, and was founded in 1805 to promote "friendship, charity and mutual assistance" among and on behalf of New Englanders living in New York.

Written and drawn by CAM (Barbara Campbell) elaborately illustrated story of the anthropomorphic lamb and her friends the Bluebird, Rueben and Mr. Robinson. Measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2". Inscribed on free end paper and dated 1940 (??) This was Campbell's first book.

1850. Light surface wear.. A single-fold hand colored vinegar valentine or Penny Dreadful. It depicts a women with exaggerated facial features and hair behind a bar pouring a pint. It is captioned: Oh, what a bob! and what a chin! What eyes! and what a nose! What charming smiles! what winning ways! What graceful talk that flows! Like rum-and-milk from those sweet lips, That for lovers' kisses were made! Oh, what a shame such a lovely girl Should over be a Barmaid! Inside and back cover blank.

Boston, MA: Atlantic Specialties Company, 1950. General wear, minor water stains.. A volvelle or wheel that helps the user find the batting average of any baseball player "in a jiffy". The user needs to turn the wheel until the arrow is pointing to the the number of times a player was at bat, this number appears through the opening on the top disk. Then one can read the battling average of the player on the top disk directly opposite the number of hits made, which is on the bottom disk. The volvelle can calculate the batting average of a player, as long as they have been at bat between 35 to 640 times. In the center of the volvelle is a black and white illustration of a man at bat, swinging and missing the ball, with the catcher and umpire behind him. The back of the volvelle is blank with the exception of a stamped "39 cents". Dated through "Catalogue of Copyright Entries: Third Series", which is a book found on Google Books that lists the copyrights of items by year. Measures 8 1/4" (diameter).

A delightful die-cut illustrated children's book, chromolithographed with designs by E.A.C. and published by Raphael Tuck. Includes six unattributed poems including: "A Christmas Hamper"; "Sunday Scholars"; "The Windy Day"; "Songs"; "Don't Be Afraid"; and "Night and Morning". Includes six (6) full page illustrations including a center fold. Stapled in original stiff illustrated wrappers (7.75" by 7"), pp. [12]. Four copies in OCLC (Jan. 2022). Raphael Tuck & Sons was founded in London in 1866, and became known for selling chromolithographed postcards, greeting cards and childhood ephemera.

[New Haven, Connecticut]: [George Beckwith], 1867. Good. Toned with water staining, dust soiling, some chipping/short tears. Lacking original wrappers and at least one leaf (cf. Hathi Trust copy).. A scarce copy of an 1868 almanac published by George Beckwith (Issue No. 21) in New Haven for residents of Connecticut and adjacent states. This copy lacks the original wrappers and at least the first leaf. The almanac features the following content: eclipses, seasons, and tide tables; rates of postage; "The Anatomy of Man's Body" according to "The Twelve Constellations"; moon phases, high, tide, etc. for each month; and a "Chronicle of Events" in Connecticut from 1 July 1866 to 1 July 1867, comprised mainly of death announcements. Single vol. (7.25" by 4.5").

Scarce edition of a charming and lighthearted book by a doctor, consisting of sixteen pages of humorous short stories, jokes, or scenarios. To set the tone, it begins with a caution to its reader: "Warning!! If you have been CUT OPEN and the stitches have not been taken out, DON'T read this book... Something may BURST THROUGH!" (upper wrapper verso). This copy has been personalized; in the rear, two illustrations of patients reading in bed have been labeled "Jen" and "Dewey" in contemporary ink. Small 4to (6" by 4.5"), pp. 16, stapled in original chromolithographed wrappers. This edition not in OCLC (Feb. 2022).

A printed handbill heralding the "millions" that will soon be spent "joining the Subway and "L" systems of Manhattan with the miles of surface trolley roads in Queens County", thus increasing property values in Queens and beyond on Long Island and connecting more people than ever to New York City. Features an illustration of an electric train in Germany at the head, as a glimpse of the shiny technological future ahead. The "Belmont" mentioned refers to August Belmont Jr., the American financier and politician responsible for much of the Interborough Rapid Transit Company. Single illustrated leaf (11" by 8.25").
