Scuffed, worn, front hinge split, crayon embellishment from a child who lived into her seventies, now dead fifty years. Lovely illustrations in this 120-year-old, 95-page cutie. Story of a six-inches high little girl named Anne who lived with a large yellow cat whose name was Mrs. Ginger, who loved to play with mice and birds, but Mrs. Ginger told her she would have to catch them to feed her new kittens. But Anne did not want to. And the "cruel Mrs. Ginger was very angry and scratched her and beat her (see illustration opposite page 58).
