Aliso Viejo, James Cahill Publishing, 1998, first edition, first printing.. Hardcover, there were supposed to be three editions of this book, a paperbound edition which never materialized, a signed/numbered limited edition of 174 copies, and a lettered edition of 26 copies, however, Cahill gave 25 copies with an unfilled limitation page as payment to Ernie Bulow for lining up Navajo artist Ernest Franklin to illustrate the book, Bulow had these copies bound with a Navajo-like designed cloth with leather spine and slipcase that also include an original watercolor illustration Signed by Franklin, it shows a lone Navajo on horseback deep in the canyon, the book itself, like the other "regular" editions, is illustrated with ink drawings by Franklin, although he is not credited, also Signed by Hillerman and Franklin on the title page, obviously scarce.
