Repaired. An old piece of leather with tiny worm holes has been used to cover the spines and joints. Inner hinges are exposed but the text block is uniform and not loose. Old contemporary ink names and arithmetic written on the blank end sheets and first preface page. Faded letters written in ink on the foredge. Text is tiny and is lightly toned and foxed.

The first scrapbook measures approx. 12.25" x 10". 92 pages of the book used for pasted down pictures and information about the College, its President, the classrooms, history of the school, its advantages, etc. These pictures and text pages were neatly removed from brochures and pamphlets. The art deco covers are also pasted down inside. The outer covers are worn, chipped, etc and near detached. The second scrapbook measures approx. 14" x 10". About 163 pages were used for pasted down School forms, post cards, brochures, advertising, etc. Some of the pages in back have related ephemera regarding Pierce College in Philadelphia. Several of the pages are detached, chipped and flaking. The paper used for both scrapbooks is very dry, brittle with numerous tears. Limited edition of 500 copies this is numbered 16. A former institutional copy with faded numbers on the spine and stamps on the verso of the right front flyleaf, copyright page, bottom of page 202. Many of the illustrations are tipped in with a couple creased, folded at the bottom edge. The title page is toned light brown from contact with the frontispiece tissue guard.
