Spine, faded, black ink titles to fraying label. Internally, title with red Unicorn device by Edmund Dulac, [8], [1], 44 pp, [1], [1], [1] limitation, 25 Poems numbered in large red Roman numerals throughout. An edition limited to 280 copies of which 250 were for sale, with a preface by Frank O'Connor. Uncommon. (210*144 mm). Dafydd ap Gwilym, was born in Aberystwyth c 1320-40 and died c 1370-80 and buried, according to tradition, in the graveyard of Strata Florida Monastery, Aberystwyth. Heseltine was a Welsh writer, of travel books, short stories, plays, and poetry and the son of Philip Heseltine, the composer better known as Peter Warlock. See NLW WBO.

Original tinted half-page lithograph, published in 1846. Sheet 597*415 mm, Image 353*250 mm, No 7 to bottom L corner, tiny pinhole to lower corners, some marginal foxing. Abbey Travel 272.19. The drawings and water colours from this sketching tour by David Roberts of the Holy Land and Egypt were collated together into folios and released over a seven year period between 1842 and 1849 by the publisher F.G. Moon from 20 Threadneedle Street London. Louis Haghe (the Belgian lithographer and friend of Roberts) oversaw and produced all of the lithographs for this series.

Later pink wrappers with facsimile label on front wrapper, armourial bookplate on inside front wrapper (Harry Twyford Peters), chemised in a quarter red morocco slipcase. A Fine Example (253*358 mm). Titled: Descent upon the Valley of the Jordan Contemporary hand coloured lithograph, published in 1844. Sheet 596*426 mm, Image 483*325 mm, occasional marginal spot. The drawings and water colours from this sketching tour by David Roberts of the Holy Land and Egypt were collated together into folios and released over a seven year period between 1842 and 1849 by the publisher F.G. Moon from 20 Threadneedle Street London. Louis Haghe (the Belgian lithographer and friend of Roberts) oversaw and produced all of the lithographs for this series.

(225*140 mm). "De situ Britanniae", by Charles Bertram, was a forgery claimed by him to have been copied from a manuscript written by Richard of Cirencester. Translated by Henry Hatcher.
