Internally, title with red Unicorn device by Edmund Dulac, [8], [1], 44 pp, [1], [1], [1] limitation, 25 Poems numbered in large red Roman numerals throughout. An edition limited to 280 copies of which 250 were for sale, with a preface by Frank O'Connor. Uncommon. (210*144 mm). Dafydd ap Gwilym, was born in Aberystwyth c 1320-40 and died c 1370-80 and buried, according to tradition, in the graveyard of Strata Florida Monastery, Aberystwyth. Heseltine was a Welsh writer, of travel books, short stories, plays, and poetry and the son of Philip Heseltine, the composer better known as Peter Warlock. See NLW WBO.

Original tinted half-page lithograph, published in 1846. Sheet 597*415 mm, Image 353*250 mm, No 7 to bottom L corner, tiny pinhole to lower corners, some marginal foxing. Abbey Travel 272.19. The drawings and water colours from this sketching tour by David Roberts of the Holy Land and Egypt were collated together into folios and released over a seven year period between 1842 and 1849 by the publisher F.G. Moon from 20 Threadneedle Street London. Louis Haghe (the Belgian lithographer and friend of Roberts) oversaw and produced all of the lithographs for this series.

Internally, [5], 6-110 pp, [1] printers device (also stating " Finished printing the 8th day of January, 1866".), gilt tooling to turn-ins, red marbled endpapers, a.e.g., author inscription to title "Lydia Mary Serle with her Fathers best love." (1 spelling correction in contemporary hand). (183*116 mm). Serle was an English dramatist and actor. He was also a journalist with the Weekly Dispatch.

The Misadventures of a Free-Loader Told in Six Beautifully Hand Coloured Aquatints First edition, later issue, oblong folio, six bright and beautifully hand coloured aquatint plates, watermarked 1835, with guards, unsigned with imprint: London, Published by W Egerton, 1824. Later pink wrappers with facsimile label on front wrapper, armourial bookplate on inside front wrapper (Harry Twyford Peters), chemised in a quarter red morocco slipcase. A Fine Example (253*358 mm). (Abbey Life 289. Prideaux p347). Egerton was a social caricaturist who worked in London in the 1820's in the manner of George Cruikshank (see Houfe p294). These amusing plates depict the misadventures of a free loader.

Internally,no inscriptions, edited with an introduction by Walford Davies, xiv, 61 pp, illustrated with a frontispiece and seven double page water colours by John Piper, the title, initial and device in red, poem titles in red or green, an edition limited to 290 copies only. Housed in a custom grey clam shell box, printed titles to spine. With a ms note from binder describing bind, dated 24.2.97 (351*230 mm). (Esslemont/Hughes Gwasg Gregynog 9 for contents).

Internally, lacks all before title page, [8], 20 pp, [2] blanks, some very minor foxing, printed by George Miller. Incorrectly attributed to John Downame, whose imprimatur on page 8 has been mistaken for the signature to the dedicatory epistle, which is in fact signed in Greek characters at the bottom of page 7. Title continues: against sundry late scandalous pamphlets: shewing the lawfullnesse of them, and the just remedy in law for them, as well in London as elsewhere.
