Important book criticizing the art world in mid-16th century Italy, where personal collections of paintings, drawings, sculpture and jewelry were being formed by a growing number of wealthy patrons. Preliminary leaves foxed, text block foxed mostly at margins and on tissue guards.  Mezzotints generally clean.
