The !957 copyright registration was recorded in the Library of Congress' Catalog of Copyright Entries as follows: "Tip "n Twinkle, Inc. Damn, but you make 'em strong. [Atomic cloud bursting from head of grotesque & misshapen face; distorted glass on table] Signed by Kirk. 1Sep57. N6454." The company produced hundreds of humorous matchbook covers as well as larger items, such as a Guide Book to Disney World and an International Order of the Mafia Member In Good Standing Print Board. Both those items turn up on the ephemera market, but I can find evidence that the item offered here has ever been offered for sale. WorldCat locates no copies in libraries. Music by Jacques Wolfe and words by Irwin Rowan. 6 pages. 4to (12 inches by 9 inches). The sheet music is in near-fine condition. 2) Original letter (TLS) from Jacques Wolfe to J. J. Lankes, dated March 12, 1934 and SIGNED by Wolfe. Accompanied by Wolfe's typed sheet containing lyrics for "Darky Lullaby" and the original postal cover (signed by Wolfe) in which the 2 sheets were mailed. Baltimore, Maryland: Baltimore Sun, 1952. Original gelatin silver print, printed by Bodine in 1952.  This is an original Baltimore Sun file/archive print.  Date-stamped October 19, 1952 on the verso.  Full margins that have the photographer's cropping marks for publication--the photograph has NOT been cropped.  Philip's Delight School was a one-room schoolhouse in rural Frederick County, Maryland.  Bodine took a series of photographs at the school, and this may well be the best example of his pictorial style from that series.  The image is 11" by 9" on a 14" by 11 1/4" sheet.  The photo is clean and bright; close examination reveals a number of short handling crease in the image, but only one of them shows just a tiny spot of chipping of the emulsion. Printed as a photogravure by the Photochrome Engraving Company, a company that Alfred Stieglitz had founded. Image size is 7 7/8 inches by 4 5/8 Inches. Alfred Horsley Hinton (1863-1908) was an English landscape photographer who was an important figure in the pictorialist movement. He was a founding member of the Linked Ring and exhibited his photographs in both London and the United States. Alfred Stieglitz was so impressed with Hinton's work that he featured another Hinton photograph as the frontispiece in the very first issue of Camera Notes. The photogravure is in excellent condition: a superb impression that is in virtually as-new condition.
