A scarce, complete suite of 16 original etchings by Bracquemond to illustrate the Lemerre edition of the works of Françoise Rabelais (d. 1553.) No text, apart from a captioned leave in French preceding each etching. The first is a portrait of Rabelais, and the others depict scenes from The Life of Gargantua and of Pantagruel. 32 leaves, printed recto side only. 8vo. Handsomely bound in one-quarter red Morocco over marbled boards. Matching endpapers. Raised spine bands, gilt lettering and top page edge. Ribbon page marker. Original paper wraps bound in. Near Fine with minor rubbing. A bit of intermittent foxing in the blank margins and not affecting the images. Ownership signature and bookplate of Henri D'Arles (1870-1930), French-Canadian author and Dominican priest in New England. Small book label of A.G. McAleer.

Original autograph & portrait of Elbert Hubbard, writer, publisher, and philosopher who founded the Roycroft artisan community. Hubbard was a leading exponent of the American Arts and Crafts movement from the late 19th century to his death aboard the Lusitania in 1915. Signature and portrait appear to have been removed from a book. Portrait is mounted on a larger page of heavy paper stock. The autograph is on the same paper. Portrait size with borders is 7.75 x 10.25 inches. Signature is bold and clear and measures 4.25 inches across. Foxing to the blank areas of the portrait mount. Image itself is clean and unmarked, as is the signature.

Catalog of a 2016 Dartmouth exhibition by Eric van Hove (b. 1975), a Belgian conceptual artist born in Algeria, North Africa. Outer folder (12 x 9.5 inches) encloses an accordion-style foldout that measures more than 6 feet in length. One side is a panoramic color photograph of van Hove's intricate sculpture V12 Laraki, a mixed-media replica of a Mercedes Benz 6.2 L V12 engine. Created in collaboration with Moroccan craftsmen working in traditional materials, including wood, copper, silver, bone, leather and mother of pearl. The reverse side contains the text of an interview, entitled "Sculpture from a third dimension: V12 Laraki project, Utopia, and Ethics of artistic practice: Ugochukwu-Smooth C.
