Description:
First trade hardcover with dust jacket, published by State House PRess, 1990. The first edition was a limited edition, signed copy in a presentation box. This is the first trade edition from State House Press. 210 pages with illustrations by Charles Shaw. This short novel was to be a portion of the novel; 'Texas'. Michener published it as a separate novel on its own instead. The dust jacket is intact and is hot price clipped. The jacket had been protected with a clear, removable cover, so there is no wear to report on the jacket. However, the clear cover had been taped to the boards with thin strips of masking tape. The tape is removed, but there is some residue marks from the tape on the boards. Beautiful copper colored cloth covered boards show no edge wear, the corners are not bumped or creased. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. This is not a remainder, not a library discard. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory, not a stock photo.
