Gowrie Waterhouse commissioned Hardy Wilson to design Eryldene, where Waterhouse housed his collection of decorative arts, established a famous camellia garden, and presided over the International Camellia Society.

G. McDonald and originally published in 1966 to commemorate the sesquicentenary (150th anniversary) in 1966 of settlement in the Illawarra region, surrounding Wollongong, New South Wales (NSW). This booklet is the 1979 reprint, which contains a new 2-page section at the rear: 'Addenda and Corrigenda'. McDonald was a past president of the Illawarra Historical Society.

A wonderful addition to any reference collection for anyone wanting to learn a little about the people who were pioneers in early Australian bookselling.
