An early hunter of these beautiful birds, DR. HENRY HALL turned conservationist and was president of the Newport branch of the Audubon Society of Rhode Island. This is an EXTREMELY ATTRACTIVE BOOK of 242 pages, with a size of 7 1/8" x 10 1/4," without the dust jacket. Overall condition is FINE. Pages (first and last feps are light brown with aqua illustrations and identifications of shore birds) = Fine: light tanning, else no marks, tight, sharp, clear and attractive. Cover (dark green quarter bound cloth on light green boards, with black illustration and design, plus gilt particulars) = Fine. Laid in flaps of dust jacket are Fine, with a couple of light pink spots.
