A pleasing copy despite faults. (5net.) price on spine. Mr. Chips is the arch typical 19th century Englishman, caught up in old world tradition and charming adherence to those traditions. The book takes the reader to an England seen in old movies and stereotypical notions of how things were. Truth be told, many of those ironclad traditions still exist and many traditions hopefully will withstand the test of time. This is a rare and special collectible.
