Boston: Charles Ewer, 1817 Each volume bound in solid period mottled calf. Each with a light damp stain the first few leaves. All are solid, bright, tight and clean. Each with a small circulating library sticker inside front cover and an early ink inscription to Alfred Thomas King from his mother. Volume III has the first free end paper detached, volume V with a chip to the head of the spine and title page has a closed tear.. Contents themselves largely unread.

Unigraphic, 1973 This is a hard cover reprint of the 1916 edition by Unigraphic bound in black cloth, 679 pages plus a 42pp index of Carroll County, its people, industries and institutions and is illustrated with numerous photos of its prominent citizens.

Princeton: Clarion Press, 1895 Bound in dark red cloth with gilt titles, 577pp. This copy with some rubbing to the front cover, else a quite nice very good or better copy.

Boston: George Clark, 1832 Bound in full period leather, 256 pp., part of fold out hand colored frontis and two internal color plates present. Book with light to moderate foxing, first sig nearly detached. Cover with worn corners and a 1" crack at the back and front gutter. Still an attractive early 19th century book. Howes T370

Richard Bently, 1855 Bound in blue grained morocco over marbled boards, 417 pp. This extra Enlarged with 92 extra portraits. Previous owner bought this at Central Book Store in 1948 and made a lost of all the plates which is laid in. Leather is rubbed at extremities and one scuff mark to the back board. Contents with minor foxing to the first several leaves and last plate, otherwise fine.

Fleming H Revell, 1911 Bound in red ribbed cloth with blind stamped floral borders on front covers, this 106 page book covers the experiences of a missionary in Hadjin Turkey in the early 1900s. The Armenian were treated as inferior beings but when the government of Turkey declared them equal in rights to the Mohammedans the fire was started that led to the massacres of the Armenians at Mohammedan hands. As to condition, there is a small spot on the front cover and the spine titles are flaking and there is a spot on the margin of one page, otherwise internally near fine.

Privately Printed, 1960 Original Wraps. Good. Limited. This is a spiral bound catalogue of the Frank E. Bivens, Jr. Arms Sale. Inscribed "To W. Paul Tarrington, Collector of Arms and Lasting Friendship. F. Theodore Dexter Au gust 1960. Laid in is a price list which, in the intro., states that Bevins could have shipped this collection to Europe to make more money but he wanted to keep it in America. This wasn't an auction but a sale and the prices were for what each arm would be sold . I f prices weren't realized the remnant would be shipped to Europe. Covers creased at the edges.

New York: C. S. Hammond & Co. [n.d.] Containing large scale maps of all the battle fronts of Europe and Asia together with a military map of the United States. Contains 12 one page maps and 2 double page maps. covers are tanned and front cover has a scuff mark, corner crease to cover and first few pages, maps all nice and bright.

Boy Scouts of America, 1946 Bound in green pictorial wraps with image of a cub scout, boy scout and sea scout on cover, 552 pp plus ads, I purchased at an estate auction. When I first looked at it it was as new, unopened and unread and in a glass case. By the time it was sold it was only very good. There is a trace of soil on the edge of the pages, no writing, creased pages, etc. Still an unusually nice copy.

Boy Scouts of America, 1946 Bound in green pictorial wraps with image of a cub scout, boy scout and sea scout on cover, 552 pp plus ads, This copy with light corner creases to the front cover, bumped pages to the first 57 leaves, last several leaves slightly bumped at the top corner

Government Printing Office, 1910 This is a heavy 1221 page book rebound in green cloth [ex-lib]. Contents are very good or better. Green cloth binding is shiny with no apparent wear.

American Tract Society, 1862 Hannah More [1745-1833] was an English religious writer, philanthropist and educator, friend of such notables as Edmund Burke and William Wilberforce. This copy with engraved frontis and title page, second title page, z82 pp plus 4 pp ads. Bound in blind stamped green cloth with bright gilt spine titles. There is wear at the tips, foxing the first and last few leaves with occasional light foxing throughout.

New Directions, 1954 Book is bound in striped binding with yellow cloth spine. Slipcase has some corner wear and is worn through at the bottom front. Still nice is nice slipcase.

Sheldon & Co. This consists in four volumes in the Harlie Series, all uniformly bound: two volumes ofThe Sea-Shore, 1863, green cloth and orange cloth 1865, dampstained; Friskie the Pony, 1865, maroon cloth which is water spotted; and Wild Peggy, 1863, blue cloth, corners rounded, pencil math computations on the endpapers and a 2" split at the front gutter.

Bradley & Evans, 1848 Bound in three quarter morocco over marbled boards, original covers in back. Two pp ads, 188 with frontis and vignette title page with glassine tissue guard still present between the two, teg. Light foxing to pages preceding the title page, last page of text with a closed tear and light foxing. Page 166 with unbroken type. A solid very good copy.

Honolulu Star Bulletin, 1942 Two 13 1/2" tall magazines published in the after math of Pearl Harbor. The first is @ May, 1942 and the second is copyright 1943 and mentions events at Hawaii into the third quarter of the year. The first magazine has some revisions since the first printing [ranks and spelling of a name]. Vol 1 has some curled corners and a slight crease to the front cover, volume 2 with a slight crease to the back cover and some corner curling to the last several leaves. Both are clean, bright and tight with no tears, stains, etc.

Hungerford Press, 1963 Bound with photographic front cover, glossy pages and illustrations, now in clear mylar.

Viking, 1935 Nice copy with minor chipping at tips.

Rand McNally, 1893 Bound in dark brown bevelled boards with gold and silver decorations, 527 pp., 58 illustrations complete. Book has shelf wear, a scuff mark on front and occasional finger soil. A good to very good copy.

Dutton, 1952 Clean, bright copy in jacket with edge chips. Signed by both authors on the front fly leaf. Jacket now preserved in mylar.
