Boston: Charles Ewer, 1817 Each volume bound in solid period mottled calf. Each with a light damp stain the first few leaves. All are solid, bright, tight and clean. Each with a small circulating library sticker inside front cover and an early ink inscription to Alfred Thomas King from his mother. Volume III has the first free end paper detached, volume V with a chip to the head of the spine and title page has a closed tear.. Contents themselves largely unread.

Fleming H Revell, 1911 Bound in red ribbed cloth with blind stamped floral borders on front covers, this 106 page book covers the experiences of a missionary in Hadjin Turkey in the early 1900s. The Armenian were treated as inferior beings but when the government of Turkey declared them equal in rights to the Mohammedans the fire was started that led to the massacres of the Armenians at Mohammedan hands. As to condition, there is a small spot on the front cover and the spine titles are flaking and there is a spot on the margin of one page, otherwise internally near fine.

Laid in is a price list which, in the intro., states that Bevins could have shipped this collection to Europe to make more money but he wanted to keep it in America. This wasn't an auction but a sale and the prices were for what each arm would be sold . I f prices weren't realized the remnant would be shipped to Europe. Covers creased at the edges.

Boy Scouts of America, 1946 Bound in green pictorial wraps with image of a cub scout, boy scout and sea scout on cover, 552 pp plus ads, I purchased at an estate auction. When I first looked at it it was as new, unopened and unread and in a glass case. By the time it was sold it was only very good. There is a trace of soil on the edge of the pages, no writing, creased pages, etc. Still an unusually nice copy.

Honolulu Star Bulletin, 1942 Two 13 1/2" tall magazines published in the after math of Pearl Harbor. The first is @ May, 1942 and the second is copyright 1943 and mentions events at Hawaii into the third quarter of the year. The first magazine has some revisions since the first printing [ranks and spelling of a name]. Vol 1 has some curled corners and a slight crease to the front cover, volume 2 with a slight crease to the back cover and some corner curling to the last several leaves. Both are clean, bright and tight with no tears, stains, etc.
