Very good with original area Index Map laid in (folded in eight sections). 6 3/4" x 4 3/8", 37 pp. Following the capitulation of Germany in WWII, The Military Governor for the United States Zone (1945-1949) and the United States High Commissioner for Germany (HICOG) (1949-1952) had their headquarters in the IG Farben Building. Frankfurt became the center for American operations and reconstruction after the war. This handy little booklet was prepared for the American GI's to give them the lay of the land, a list of locations and services they needed to operate in this newly occupied city.
