The HMS Dorsetshire was a heavy cruiser of the Royal Navy. In 1937, during her time on the China Station she joined the aircraft carrier Hermes and the cruiser Cumberland in a major simulation test of the Defences of Singapore against a hypothetical Japanese attack. At the beginning of World War II, the ship has numerous assignments in the waters off South America, in the area of the Falkland Islands, and off the coast of Africa. In late May 1941, the Dorsetshire took part in the sinking of the Bismark. In 1942, she and her sister ship, the HMS Cornwall, were attacked and sunk by 53 Japanese dive bombers in the Indian Ocean. "Jefferson 'Jeff' Davis, a vaudeville performer and advocate for homeless workers, established another union in Cincinnati in 1908, called the International Itinerant Migratory Workers Union: Hoboes of America, which hosted its own annual conventions. He also came up with the idea of a self-sufficient boarding house run by hoboes, called 'Hotel de Gink' - 'gink' being another term for hoboes.
